Sweet Success

Hello sugar friends, it is me (Marianne) that will show you a card today.
Have you seen Sugar Nellies new hedgehog stamps? They are all so cute, and I have made a card with the stamp called Sweet Success. You find this sweetie over at Funky Kits.

I wanted my card to be sweet and playful, and maybe with a taste of summer. To color the image I have this time used my Promarkers, and the papers are from Maja Design. I have punched out some butterflies, and the thin red edge around them I have cut by hand. For decorations I have used ribbon and buttons, and the Norwegian text says ”Happy birthday”.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
Hugs from Marianne:)

True Beauty!

Wow, last week it was really spring here in Holland, but today it is again very cold.... So I sat in my scraproom and made this card for today. This time I have used Alice.. You can find her HERE at funkykits!I just adore those new ribonita girls! She has been colored with prisma pencils en copics. The papers are oldies from BoBunny -Gabrielle, but they are still my favorites! The swirl is a die from magnolia and the fence is from Unique. I thought the sentiment is just right for Alice.. she is true beauty!!

It is weekend again, so I hope the weather will be glorious again!
Wish you lots of scrapfun and enjoy!

Hugs Tiets xx

Liefs Tiets xx

OK...It's Official.

Spring has most definitely sprung in the UK. The weather has been glorious - even in Scotland!
I am praying that this weather lasts, as next week sees the start of the Easter holidays for the school children...and also as I've booked the week off work :)

I've been nosing around on the Sugar Bowl again...

Pami's Easter card is so pretty, using the digi image Daffy Pip. I love these warm sunshiney colours...a real 'feel good' card.

I also love the effect of colouring on Kraft, and Wenche's card is a perfect example, using the Sassy stamp Apple Of My Eye.

I spy with with my little eye something beginning with....P

Hmmmm so how did you guess I would sneak in another Pippi Longsocks card??
Am I so transparent? No, just in love :)
This gorgeous card is Julie's entry into the Sugar Bowl challenge.

There's almost a week still left in which to enter our challenge...I hope you'll get a little inky and join us :)

Thanks for looking.

Sweet Strawberries and an even sweeter sketch!

Good Morning Everyone! I (Jane) couldn't wait to make a card and join in with the Sugar Bowl challenge when I saw Cathy's fabulous sketch. The optional theme for this Challenge is Spots and Dots. I love polka dots so it was a real treat to be able to use lots of these on my card!

I used papers from the Teresa Collins Spring Fling pad. The colours of the papers are so rich and the red reminded me of strawberries so I just had to use the Sugar Nellie Manga 'Strawberry Patch' image which is available here from Funky Kits. I coloured the image with my Promarkers before cutting it into a rectangle and mounting it on kraft card.

I used a Fiskars border punch for the centre strip and the sentiment is by Whimsy stamps. I also added some flowers and a lovely spotty ribbon from my stash topped with a spotty button from The Ribbon Girl.
I will definitely be using the lovely sketch by Cathy again! Make sure you check out all the fabulous cards by the Sugar Bowl Design Team on the blog, if you are inspired to take part, you may win some gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamps.
Have a great Wednesday!

Monday news

Hello sugar addicts another beautiful day here in Scotland, I hope the sun is shining where you are.

The wedding countdown has started, 4 months to go, so today I started work on the invites.
Best to do it in pieces I think. Today I am using pearl white card, this will not only be the body of the invitation but also one of the front panels. I am loving this embossing folder from Sizzix (thank you set #5).

It is a very classic design which lets me stamp in the panel, wedding or evening invitation.

One of the first things you have to decide when planning a wedding is the theme.

There are many to choose from, some traditional other a bit excentric. It's a reflection on the happy couple and I have found some amazing themes when I look around the Internet.
Honestly, I would have been in my element with Vintage Shabby Chic but that does not suit our bride. In the end the dress was the deciding factor as to how this wedding will be put together.
Classic is our style and there is a little pearl and bling in there too.

So I had better get back to my cutting and embossing with my trusty old cuttle bug.

While I was loading photos from my camera, I found this one.

Some of you know that I had purchased an old caravan for my "craft room" and any other storage needs. A quick fix as we don't have a garage or any empty farm building that I can use for "collecting stuff"

Well here it is, in all its, scrap heap glory. I have decanted one room so far into the caravan, that's one spare room to be decorated and furnished for my pre wedding visitors this summer.
With both daughter and boyfriends coming home, we will have a full house of 8.

I am glad the blinds are closed because you can not see the mess of boxes and furniture that is piled high behind closed doors.

As this nice weather continues, I may get out there and tidy up, you know, footer about with jars of flowers, collections of papers etc.

take care
Karen

Faye and Freddie!

Happy Monday all you Sugar lovers! Pat Frank here with a new Sugar Nellie card to share with you all!

I just love this Sugar Nellie stamp. It's "Faye & Freddie" (I'm pretty sure that Faye is the fairy...and Freddie is the frog!) This stamp is from the Home Grown Collection of Sugar Nellie stamps. You can find it HERE at Funky Kits. Care for a peek at the inside?

I'd like to thank my sweet friend and Sugar Bowl DT sistah, Elaine, for these delicious DPs and lace! You are the BEST, sugar! The image was colored with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. If you'd like more info on this card as well as a peek at a few more photos, please pop on over to my blog HERE.

And...that's it for me. Hope you have a fabulous week! Mwahhhh...

Sugar Addicts Showcase Sunday.

Good Morning.
I hope everyone in the UK has remembered to adjust their clocks? I know it will take weeks for my internal body clock to get used to the change!

OK, today I have a very lovely young lady to shine the Sugary Spotlight on, Lou Mac.

I have recently graduated from Northumbria University with a BSc Honours Environmental Management 2:1 Degree!!! Now comes the job hunting!! In my spare time I enjoy card making, which I generally do for occasions and to give to friends and family. I started blogging as a way to share my designs. I am in love with all things paper and crafty. Always have been in some way or another and probably always will be. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Lou definitely has her own unique style of card making and I always love seeing her creations.
This one uses the stamp Lead The Way.

This one uses the Sassy stamp Apple Of My Eye.

I've always had a big soft spot for My Friend Kitty.

Book Club teamed up with a fab sentiment....I can lose myself for days in a good book!

And of course this is the rubbery love of my life Miss Pippi Longsocks :)

Lou's cards are always so beautifully coloured and although each card has a variety of embellishments they never look cluttered, just perfectly finished. I so wish I had that knack!

Please go and pay Lou a visit but make a cuppa first, there are so many gorgeous cards to see there you could be gone a long while!
Thanks for looking.

ssshhhhh

Today was an other beautiful spring day, my boy turned 13 and I can not believe the rate that he is growing!
With Internet problems and a bad phone line , my jobs today have been rather drawn out and slow. I just can not do without Internet, take the TV away but please leave the computers.

It's the Queens Jubilee this year but its looking like I might just be busier than the Queen, my diary is filling up and there is so much going on, can I even think of adding to my list of things to do?

Oh yes I can.

I am waiting until the papers are signed and the ink is dry before spilling all the beans, but you know me , I love to tease you.

With Debbie getting married in the summer and starting a new life in Philadelphia, bringing a little sweet rubber to our friends at the other side of the pond, Katie was left wondering what to do.

Not wanting to stay in Glasgow, the decision was made to rent out the flat for a few years and Katie would move nearer home. Given the choice to move back here to the farm or at least close by, she decided that was not what she wanted either. More years of uni or just jump right into the job market and get on with it?

Katie has chosen, after much talk, to join the family business and jump in with both feet.
No not just dipping her toe in the water as she has done in the past,
but right in there with a new store and the rest!

Yes girls you heard it first here,
we are going to bring the best of the best to a town near you?
{How near you, depends on where you live}

Not only are we bringing crafts, trend setting classes,
excellent demo's
and just the sweetest things a crafter could ever wish for
but this store come's with something more
...................oh my goodness.
What does a crafter love as much as beautiful papers,
 stunning store displays,
 imaginative samples,
friendly staff and a warm welcome?

For those of you who have made a visit to Papercrafts in Elgin, tell me what it is that make's our shop so special. Go on...... feed my ego, why do so many crafters travel to us, what do you enjoy most about our wee crafty place. I want to know  all these things because they need to be  included in Katies new store.

{If you do not want me to publish your comments, just start off with PRIVATE and only I will read them.}

So if you think I have been quiet, its because I am busy planning, lots of things.
take care
Karen

I'm Going Dotty!

Today there is a new challenge over on the Sugar Bowl, with a fab sketch off Sweetie Cathy and an optional theme of 'Spots and Dots'.

Cathy has used an older image, Woodland Fairy, for her card. Very spotty and dotty Cathy :)

I adore Lilian's cards. Lilian always thinks outside the box, as this card perfectly demonstrates. She has followed the sketch but made this gorgeous circular card with the stamp Delia.
Of course, it also helps that Lils colouring is pretty awesome!

And finally...what a striking card from Pat (sorry I can't find the stamp at Funky Kits)
I love the red and white colour combo...very eye catching.

There's almost a fortnight to get your entry in and maybe you will be the one picked at random to win some Sweet Scottish rubber.

Thanks for looking

Bunny Pip

Good morning sweet friends.  As you know we are having a "Pip" inspiration week and now it's my turn to share one of these adorable girls with you.  I have used

     Bunny Pip

Isn't this little Bunny Pip adorable?  She's perfect for those Easter cards you might need to make.  She's colored with copics and colored pencils.  I used some glitter paint on the flowers and the Easter egg.  There's Liquid Pearls on her necklace and Liquid Applique for the bunny's fluffy tail.  I added some flowers and butterflies with pearls because all girly cards need some bling, right?

You can find this sweet Bunny Pip and all her friends over at Funky Kits.  Be sure to stop back daily for some more Pip inspiration, and leave a comment as there just might be some yummy candy to be won.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope I've inspired you to get your fingers inky.

Hugs, Anita

Chicky Pip

A very happy tuesday to all of you!

It's Kathrin here with day two of our Sherbet Pips week and today I am showcasing

She's the prefect choice to make your easter cards extra cute this year. And since she is availble as a digi stamp you can use her right after buying.

Here's a little close up:

I have colored her using my Copics. The sun was shining through my window when I started the coloring and by the bright and warm light I got inspired to use light blue and yellow for that image and card.
I hand cut the little dotted egg from yellow cardstock and added some feathers since I think they are the perfect choice for decorating easter cards.

I like the more cleaner style with these cuties but didn't want my card to look plain so I used my sewing machine to sew the papers on. The stitches add some more to the card without overloading it or taking too much attention. And I also loved the wood panel paper with this image since it reminds me of a chicken scoop... And so adding a bow from raffia to add a look like hay was the last touch I needed for this card.

So, that's it for today. Make sure you check back every day this week for more wonderful Pips cards!
Wishing all of you a warm and sunny spring day!

Beautiful Weekend

Good morning blogger, forgive me for being late this morning, blogger is playing up and I lost my post that I scheduled last night.

It's been and is a beautiful weekend here in the North East of Scotland. Blue sky's and now
ind, perfect weather for the farmer to get ahead with his work. I have not seen him much at all, being up early to see that no young ones are being born and need help and then off in the tractor until very late at night. We have a young sheppard on the farm for the two busiest weeks and he also has two after school "helpers".

Today I wanted to show you some cards there depict spring, the Pip's are good for this with our spring release in digital, they are a super fast sugar fix.

This one is perfect for today and is Moira's entry into the SUGAR BOWL CHALLENGE.
There are daffodils growing all around and even the school is having a daffodil tea next week.
I could not find a card with pip and lambs but that would have been a good one for today too.
*******

I watched Breaking Dawn part 1 yesterday, how I held out so long to watch it I do not know,
as a twilight fan I now cant wait for the final film to hit the screens.
Maybe it was the wedding scene that triggered something in my brain but for the first time I had a wedding dream and all was not good. I am sure that in the coming months I will have many more wedding nightmares as the stress builds up and time runs out.

For today, the house is quiet, everyone is outside.Bliss

I might even indulge myself and make a card as its only 3 days until the latest challenge ends.
Or I could make anything I want for the Facebook group challenge (SugarNellies).
But for now, I wish you all a beautiful Sunday.
take care
Karen

Ribonita - Mori

Hello everyone, I hope you are all fine. It is an early spring here where I live, and it feels wonderful! And with all the new stamps from Sugar Nellie to play with, things couldn`t be better:)
If you haven`t seen them all jet, run over to Funky Kits and take a look. You will not be disappointed.

It is easy to fall in love with the new and beautiful Ribonita stamps, and sweet Mori became my favorite right away. When I inked her up she told me that she wanted to be in a sweet and girly card, so girly it is:)
I have colored her all in pink with my Copics. The colors I have used are V000 – RV91 – RV93 – RV96. I have used pink papers, pink cardstock, pink flowers, pink pearls and a pink bow. The pink butterflies are dies from Cherry Lynn, and the borders are dies from Nellie Snellen.

I hope you liked my card, and I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
Hugs from Marianne:)

Ribonita week!

As you already know we are having a Ribonita week and today it is my (Tiets) turn to show you one of the gorgeous new girls. This one is Belle, isn;t she adorable?? I've tried something different with her, so I made a vintage card.As you can see she is also perfect for that!!
I've colored her with my copics markers and the papers are from Glitz (pretty in pink) Some roses and lace on it and there is a vintage card! I hope you like it , so please leave a commend and maybe you can win some ribonita candy!!

I wish you a great weekend and lots of stamping fun!

********************

Hugs Tiets

Hello....Is There Anybody Out There??

Is it me or do things seem a little quiet in blogland?
I wonder what everyone is up to?
Maybe outside enjoying the first signs of Spring. The (slightly) warmer weather has arrived in my part of the UK, and the garden is green again. The grass needs a mowing and the huge holes in the lawn need filling...those darn squirrels may look cute but they bury nuts in the lawn then leave a mahoosive hole digging them back out again!
Maybe the answer is to not buy them any more nuts huh?

There is almost a week left to enter the Sugar Bowl challenge and be in with the chance of winning some sweet rubber. As always, the entries so far are fabulous...but there's not so many entries this time.
Is everyone on a sugar free diet?     *I'm quietly sobbing in a corner here*

A beautiful Easter card from Linda, and she's used the new digi image Chocolate Pip.

This is the first time that Dee has joined in with our challenge, using her new stamp Rosie.
An excellent choice of stamp Dee and such a pretty card.
From Dee (a newbie) ...

To Coops....a veteran :)
I do of course mean that in the very nicest way. Coops is a regular player in the Sugar Bowl, and her card uses the stamp Outdoor Adventure.
I love the clean and simple lines and the delicate colours.

We welcome all players in the Sugar Bowl. From novice crafters starting out to the more advanced card makers, from the very young - we do have entries from little tiddlers - to the more mature.
Anyone can come along and play, all you need is a Sugar Nellie stamp or digi, and to follow the sketch.

Thanks for looking.

Ribonita Feature Week - Alice

Good Morning Sugar Addicts! I (Jane) hope you are having a good week and are enjoying our Ribonita Feature week. I simply adore the new Ribonita stamps that were released this month at Funky Kits and Alice has to be my favourite. I have so many ideas for Projects she will be perfect for! This time I have made an aperture card and placed Alice on the front.

I used my die cutting machine to make the aperture when I had layered up all the papers on the front of the card and then cut a frame using the same circle die and a scalloped circle.

I coloured Alice using my Promarkers and then cut her out and added her to the front of the card with little dots of glue.

I decorated the inside of the card using some more papers from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dilly Dally pad and a Penny Black sentiment die cut into a label shape.

You can see all the gorgeous new Ribonita stamps here at Funky Kits, make sure you pop back tomorrow for more Ribonita Inspiration and remember to leave a comment for the chance to win some candy! Have a great Wednesday!

Pintrest good or bad?

Our girls have fantastic creations for you this week and those that leave a little love may well be treated to some back in return.

But a question is boiling under the surface of many professional, there are article in the press world wide and rumours of legal action etc.

I love pintrest, I also know that if you publish anything on the Internet you  need to watermark it so that if it does get lost, it can find its way home if your blog address is written on it. Do you have a "do not use my work without my permisson" on your blog? How do you feel when people do just lift without permission.
i am just covering the basic's here, but Mo will tell you about a bigger wrong going on in pintrest's crumblin world.

Let's hope all this things can be fixed because I love pintrest and would not like to loose it.

Read this on  SCS   if you use pintrest, its real informative and Mo and Lacey sum it up perfectly.
thank you

Sugar Nellie Showcase Sunday

Good Morning Sugar Addicts!

I have another lovely and talented lady to shine the Sugar Spotlight on today.

I am Joyce 33. Married to Lars and together we have 2 beautiful kids. Randy 5 and Duncan 3.  I started making cards about 4 years ago and it is my passion.  I try to craft every night and love to color with copics.  Since I saw the Sugar Nellie and Simply Sassy stamps on Tiets her club I was hooked.

I love the Simply Sassy range of stamps and Butterfly Girl is one of my favourites.
I wish I had the ability to place embellishments like Joyce does!

This beautiful card uses Cherry Pip.

The Sassy stamp Book Club.

My absolute favourite papers (Maja design 'Fika' ) and Honey Pip.

And another Sassy, this time Tease Me, made into a gorgeous tag card.

Joyce creates the most beautiful, multi layered and perfectly embellished cards. She has a great eye for detail and colour and I love to see her cards on her blog and on Facebook.
Please go and pay Joyce a visit and leaver her some love...we all love to receive a nice comment :)

Thanks for looking.
